Nomenclature
Scientific Name: Putidape grassman benignus
Common Name: Ohio Grassman
Nickname: Kind Bud
This creature is categorized as a "skunk ape" and belongs in the Putidape genus. The "Ohio Grassman" is a species of skunk ape, P. grassman, that can be broken down into two subspecies. Smaller and much less aggressive than its relatives, this type is called the "Gentle Ohio Grassman," or P. grassman benignus. Generally referred to as the "Grassman" or "Ohio Grassman" by the public, it has recently garnered a new name: Kind Bud - a play on the Grassman's connection to marijuana memes and its tales of empathy, docility, and perceived friendliness.
